Bee Odyssey

Created in Unity for Android and iOS platforms

Bee Odyssey is a 2D side-scrolling puzzle adventure game. Users take control of a swarm of honey bees to navigate multiple levels while avoiding enemies and obstacles. I was lead developer on the project, tasked with all coding responsibilities, from gameplay, level design tools, UI, AI, sound, etc. Also integrated Google Play and Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. In addition, I took a role as level designer and created and designed over 30 different levels and puzzles. These levels were constantly tested and revised based on an analytics visualizer tool I developed. This tool allowed insight as to where players were losing in the levels, allowing us to provide quick tweaks to the level layout. I also played a large part in the core game design by helping write the design doc as well as concepting, prototyping and creating gameplay elements such as enemies, powerups and obstacles. I created a gallery where users can view educational information about the enemies and plants they unlocked during gameplay.
